Description: This is an original antique colored lithograph of ARABIAN NO. 5 taken from an old book called The Grammar Of Ornament by Owen Jones, published 1868. I have many of these plates that were stored with vintage catalogs that I purchased at auction. It has been stored in a plastic sleeve with cardboard back, and it has no odors, this plate shows evidence of moisture on the back side but not visible on the front due to the printing. This was a high-quality book at the time, defining style in design at that time. The print work is fantastic and the colors are bold. The paper is a thick, ivory and it is preserved in good condition. It measures 13x9 inches.
