Description: Rare antique 1875 nicely bound volume of "The Archeological Journal published under the direction of the Central Committe of the Archeological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland, for the Encouragement and Prosecution of Researches into the Arts and Monuments of the Early and Middle Ages." The book is overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. The covers have some mild scuffing and wear. The binding is good and sound. There is a nice old small oval bookplate adhered to the front pastedown. A very few pages have some neatly penciled underlining and bracketing. The interior is lightly toned from age with some scattered light foxing. Along with that there is likely the occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor spot of soiling or grubbiness, tiny chip, small tear, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 8 7/8 inches by 5 7/8 inches and is 532 pages long with several black and white illustrations. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
