Description: Manufactured as a working prototype by Valley Cannon Works in Tigard OR for Phoenix Ordinance Company.This cannon is stamped SN 2 of 2 produced.This cannon has a hybrid appearance between a 1857 Civil War field gun and a parrot rifle with its flared muzzle. The craftsmanship is superb with a very precise screw-in locking breech along with an intricate safety system.Condition:Overall appearance is great. Kept in storage for over 35 years. The bronze finish is beautiful and clean with some aging clear coat. The oak and steel carriage are in wonderful and sound shape. The bore is smooth with no corrosion. This cannon weighs approximately 60lbs.Cannon is accompanied by (28) 2.5 in brass hulls.This cannon is sound and preforms like new.Cannon number 1 sold for 15k in an auction in 2013.
