The stock base weighs in at 8.8 grams, and the Aero base is 2.2 grams for a weight reduction of 6.6 grams. In our testing this brought our mouse to just under 45 grams (without skates)! Installation of the Aero mod is fairly easy with a T5 torx screwdriver and #00 philips screwdriver. There are 8 screws to remove. Check out our install guide for a step-by-step walkthrough. In the event that you want to remove the modification it is completely reversible. The original base can simply be reinstalled, and the mouse is back to original.
