Description: Gorgeous handmade theater costume dated from the 1930s. Such a gorgeous and sought-after renaissance style. Consists of a corseted bodice and a full circle skirt attached with cartridge pleats. Donated to an antique dealer from a costume stock in Germany. Never seen anything like this before. Except for general fading in the fabric due to age, it’s in amazing condition - I went through and secured all of the cartridge pleats in the skirt. No other flaws. Made of thick, double layered cotton. Also has loops at the Armscye to secure sleeves if you wanted. Opens up the front and closes with snaps/hooks. The front has a panel that laces into place so there is an inch or two of adjustability in the bust.
