Description: For sale here is a very unusual, heavy over the top hand made wrought iron Gothic style 38" tall x 30" in diameter ceiling chandelier. Take a look at the photos. It is clearly unusual Castle Gothic or Italian Gothic. This fixture is in need of a full restoration. The ironwork is in good condition and I think the original 8 wire framed shades are original. Probably from the 1940s or 50s. Very well made. Inside there are 8 panels of amber glass with a cut piece of mica that lays on top. You can replace this flat glass with amber or red or whatever you would live for your decor. There are 4 center lamps and 8 outer lamps that should be rewired. Each shade is some poly material that at some point was wrapped with paper. The frames are there to restore the shade any way you want. I see cracks and some holes and burn areas from too hot bulbs. Lastly I see the ceiling cap is not original. You would have to find a wrought iron style replacement for that. This fixture will be incredible once gone through and restored. The wiring looks good but it needs a small socket replaced. I could see the shades replaces with leaded stained glass shades of the same shapes and matching panels of glass in the center.
