Description: Antique or Vintage Tycos Thermometer Rochester Taylor Instruments 10.75" x 2.5" Per the analogweather weather website the Tycos name was used exclusively from 1908 to 1932. There is no Taylor Instruments branding on this thermometer. I looked through a few catalogs from 1908 and 1931 and though saw what appeared to be model matches, they were smaller at 8" and 5" heights. This one is larger at 10-3/4" height. It works accurately and though I believe marketed as an outdoor thermometer, it has always been used indoors as a garage workshop thermometer for the 3 generations my family has owned it. Black oxidized brass with gold plated clasps and screws on a Mohagany base, as per similar but smaller models in the catalogs. It will be shipped FedEx Ground
