Description: MALCOLM STARR CHARTREUSE GREEN EVENING GOWN WITH EXTRA LARGE GORGEOUS GREEN RHINESTONES This vintage stunning Bullock’s Wilshire Elinor Simmons for Malcolm Starr dressing gown was made in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong. It is a Size 10. (Please check measurements since the sizing of days of old run smaller.) It is a beautiful Chartreuse Green with the most stunning rhinestones that create an exquisite design along the chest and neck area. I do not know what kind of stones these are but they are quite sparkly! It has an empire waistline under chest with a double bow in the middle. Shows some minor staining which I have pictured. Will probably come out in professional dry cleaning. I would have it dry cleaned for you but there are not good cleaners in my area. I simply do not trust them in ruining this beautiful dress. There are two very small holes on left side right under pocket. The bottom hem is very wide and has 5 to 6 inches to work with if needed. Metal zipper and closures. Closures work very well! Very heavy silk material and very well made. It is fully lined. One thin white cotton lining directly on heavy silk material and a thin chartreuse shiny third lining. This dress is elegant and timeless and perfect for a prom, wedding, or any formal event. I see a hip mother of the bride nearly stealing the show in this! So much hand stitching and hand beading. Beautiful contrasting green rhinestones and toggle shaped beads overlaid on an intricately patterned gold metallic woven backing. The beading is in perfect condition! Scoop neck bodice with empire waist and demure little bow and self belt that is secured by hook and eye closures in the back. Richly and fully lined. Long hidden metal zipper closure in the back.
