Description: Censored, The Goat, by Phil Stong, With Pictures by Kurt Wiese. Published in 1945 by Dodd, Mead, & Company. Very scarce with dust jacket. As of the time of this listing, it is the only copy I could find for sale online with a dust jacket! Not many dust jackets for 80-year-old children's books survive in any condition, so this copy is pretty special. The illustrations are vibrant, delightful, and hilarious. The story does have some Japanese racial references that are in keeping with the era in which this was published. Overall, a unique and special copy of a WWII-era children's book. I honestly almost don't want to sell it, but no worries -- if you purchase it I will ship it to you :-) Please look closely at all photos and read the condition description. I do my best to identify all flaws and points of consideration, but if you find anything I didn't that reduces the value of the book I accept returns for refund within 30 days. I welcome questions and generally respond within 8 hours. Ships in protective wrapping.
