Description: Roald Dahl released Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator in 1972, a sequel to his 1964 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This copy is a stated first edition published by Knopf, who published the U.S. release a year ahead of the British edition released in 1973 by George Allan & Unwin. This is also verifiably a first printing, as the copyright page lacks a number line and the DJ is priced at the original $3.95. First Edition copies in good condition are not terribly hard to come by, so any fan of Dahl or the Willy Wonka franchise should certainly have one on their shelf. Here is an opportunity to obtain one at a very reasonable price and in quite good condition. Here are the condition notes. Also see photos for details: Good used condition. Dust jacket is intact and complete but shows significant wear, particularly around the edges. Not clipped (price $3.95). Boards are good with some edge wear and lightly rounded bottom corners. Interior: child owner's name inscribed in ink on FFEP; otherwise clean and unmarked with off-white pages. Page exterior edges are lightly tanned.
