Description: Hello, What I am listing Is perhaps the best color photograph of three of the B 29's of the 509th Composite Group. Left to right " Up an Atom " The Great Artiste" and the " Enola Gay". This photograph was taken after the war was over and the 509th Markings had been returned to the tail and Nose Art painted on each plane, note how the propellers are properly positioned for photographs. There Is a strip of paper over the photo to prevent copying. A beautiful color Kodachrome color photo reproduced from the original Kodachrome color slide taken by Carl Garner 393rd Bomb Squadron ( VH ) Engineering Officer. The photograph measures 8 x 10 Inches.Be sure to enlarge the scan so you can see how sharp this Image Is. Carl loaned me the Kodachrome slide In 1995. He also loaned It to the Smithsonian who proceeded to commercialize It, making money off the Image and not giving Carl credit for It. The Image appeared on Post cards and on a Calendar which gave others the opportunity to copy It, but those copies do not have the quality of this autographed photo. This Is Investment grade, autographed photos of this quality will hold their value and Increase In value In years to comeThis autographed photo has been boldly hand signed on this photo by a Crewmember that flew In the plane on an Atomic Mission. You will be able to see the pen Impressions on It when you hold It In your hand. The autographs are actual, real, hand signed on the photograph, It Is not a scan, copy or forgeries of any type and will pass any test you want to put It through. Each autograph on the photo was boldly autographed and HAND SIGNED ON THIS PHOTOGRAPH with a Stadler Lumicolor pen which offsets the photo very nicely. This photograph was reproduced from an original Kodachrome slide that I own and Is In my possession. I have scanned letters to or about me from the Veterans. They are for provenance and not Included.I will caution you to know your source when purchasing Atomic Bomb autographs. I acquired every Item that I sell, from the Veterans. I am very pleased that our book Is referenced In " The Three Musketeers of the Army Air Force" by Robert Harder. If you want to read and learn more about the 509th you can purchase a copy of our book "The 509th Remembered" on our site with the same name I was elected an honorary member of the 509th In 2001, I have attended all Reunions since 1990, I have been the Reunion Chairman 2001-2006,2008-2017, and elected by the Veterans as " official" Historian.
