It features a child proof lock-out; 16 security codes; and low battery power indicator. It is compatible with Ambient/Monessen millivolt gas fireplaces. In fact it will work with any fireplace or gas log set that is equipped with a millivolt type gas valve. If your old remote and receiver controlled a solenoid type valve (meaning the receiver needs to put out a DC voltage) this kit WILL NOT work with those type valves. Please Check your fireplace home owners manual for additional information, regarding accessory installation before purchasing this remote control system and check the wiring diagram in the photos to see if this system is compatible with your fireplace. This remote control system is designed for use with a millivolt or 24 volt gas valve system. It can not be used on applications above 24 volts AC/DC and 1 amp. current. A few customers could not make this receiver kit work with their Cedar Ridge Hearth fireplaces and Procom fireplaces. (solenoid valves) If you are not sure if this kit will work with your gas fireplace, send us a message with your fireplace or log set brand and model number and we'll try and get the info. for you. Each unit is tested and verified before shipping to be in good working order.
