Description: This is Bountiful Baby’s Drew Ann Kit (folded legs) I found this “Christmas Story Bunny PJs” and knew I wanted to make baby “Ralphie”. It’s actually a Build a Bear item. I think the Drew Ann kit is pretty close. I added the doll glasses and there’s the look I wanted. In keeping with the vintage theme the second outfit is a two piece blue knitted feel with vintage bunny snuggly. I used a curly mohair on the hair and acrylic eyes. The paints used are genesis heat set paint. He has mottled skin and veining. I’ve made huge improvements on my white nail tips and creases. Glass beads and polyester fill give it a snuggly feel. If you love a Christmas Story as much as me you will appreciate this. Please look at all photos. I’m not a professional but I’ve been making dolls for my daughter now for 5 years. In the last year I decided to sell the ones I’ve made in order to practice my craft more. Hand painted dolls have unique characteristics. If I feel it’s more of a flaw I photograph and document so you can see. Could cause harm if swallowed. Not recommended for young children. Be cautious with hair. I’ve switched to a new glue. E6000 is an industry wide used glue. I however noticed it seeped through doll skin- made a terrible mess. The fumes were also strong. Hair is hopefully sealed well but not meant for regular heavy usage. Also Because this is a period inspired design- items and accessories are vintage and may show wear. Tiny faded speck near drawstring on blue pants. It was the only vintage style that would fit that I could find without drastically increasing price. No holes found, freshly laundered. I hand paint the eyelashes and brows I feel it’s more natural looking than hand rooted or false lashes. Hair is meant to be finer due to size of baby (implies very young) Also has a baby powder wafer scent in the body. I also use a little varnish in areas you’d expect moisture like eyes, nose and mouth. Also use care around doll, solvent based cleaners could destroy paints. Baby also has 3/4 arms and folded legs.
