These units are coupled to a 1m single-mode, polarization-maintaining (SM/PM) fiber with a collimator at the end that produces the same quality beam as the free space version. We've tested these and find that they perform like new. They produce the rated 20mW output at a diode current of <400mA, well below the 850mA maximum. The systems shows less than 50 hours run time so are essentially unused. These produce a high quality, stable and low noise beam. We have several of these so the serial number may not match the pictures. Note that this laser does not auto-start. To turn on the laser, you will need to connect a computer to the serial port and issue the LASER_ON (or LON) command.
