A Vacumatic filler removal tool that is simple to use, has many benefits the other designs do not have, is precision, built in the US and very affordable. The first, a tool based on the original designs of Parker vac blocks used by Parker repairmen back in the days of traveling repairmen and the Vac Wrench. Both of these type tools have several problem areas as listed below. The first design, the vac block type. The draw backs of this design are: Deforms threads easily Awkward to hold and use Difficult to align properly, and the second design called a wrench: Awkward to hold and use and requires the user to maintain their grasp/grip of the tool while using squeezing the handle to provide the necessary force to grip the filler unit threads While both of these tools were good designs at one time I believe the Vac Extractor surpasses both designs in many ways. First, the tool is light weight ,comfortable to hold and use, produces incredible gripping strength without the worry of thread damage or deformation. The filler unit can be left in the tool while performing other operations such as cleaning, inspection and installing the new diaphragm. The tool comes with both sizes of collets to work on all size of Vacumatics, Debutante, Standard, Major, Oversized, Maxima and Parker 51 It also comes in a convenient storage case. The Vac Extractor is made in the US and is made from 6061 Aluminum and stainless steel. I designed the Vac Extractor after the last fountain pen show I attended in 2021. After talking to multiple vendors and watching them use the currently available tools it became apparent to me that a new and completely different tool design was needed. I began engineering this design as soon as I returned home. I continued working on the design, began the first of many trial and errors and eventually had a proof of concept. I then began prototyping and testing and had a design that surprised even myself of how well it performed.
