Description: For auction is a nice piece of art pottery vase made by the "Paul Revere Pottery Company" which is also SEG or "The Saturday Evening Girls" Pottery Company of Boston, Mass. This form is what I call a "Tapered Swollen Shoulder Vase". The vase is a nice size to it as it stands 4 3/4" tall and is 4 1/2" in diameter at the shoulder. The mouth or opening of the vessel is 3" inside diameter and the bottom foot has a diameter of 2 5/8". The vase displays a swollen tapered form. It has a light blue textured glaze. In the SEG book they refer to this glaze as a "Volcano" glaze. I have an original bill that shows this and they bought it from the authors directly. The glaze is semi-matte and it is clearly a SEG/ Paul Revere Pottery original glaze. This vase is considered a hand thrown piece of Art Pottery. This vase for its size has good weight and feels very solid. This form is a real favorite with the Arts and Crafts aficionados. The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The piece is not signed on the bottom as those who know this is without a doubt a Paul Revere/SEG Pottery form and glaze. I fully guarantee this and show examples that are signed to prove it. I have one in the same glaze and it is signed and I have another one in a different glaze but same shape signed. This is a quality solid piece of art pottery. I'm quite sure the buyer will be extremely pleased with their purchase. This piece was made circa 1926-1930. PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
