Description: Whether you have just bought a used Unisaw, or have had the same one for years, replacing the bearings is vital to performance and longevity of your machine. The tell tail sign of your arbor bearings needing replacement, is a squealing or grinding noise when saw is running. One way to verify is to take the belt tension off of the arbor and free spin it by hand, you will hear it or feel resistance. Why is it necessary? Because running worn out bearings does many negative things. It puts unnecessary strain on your motor, can cause a wobble on both the blade and pulley, and worst case it could destroy your arbor. Included are two high quality direct replacement rubber sealed roller bearings. Our price is $28 for the pair, compared to $40+ from other companies. Sure there are cheaper options even on eBay, however our bearings are not generic they are precision bearings from name brands like Axis, SKF, Timken, etc. You are putting in the effort of replacing, so you owe it to yourself to buy premium, precision bearings. These bearings are not the extended inner race bearings. So if you have an earlier Unisaw, we advise that you check your arbor before ordering. To check this: 1. Go to the non-blade side of the arbor 2. Unscrew the collar nut with a spanner3. Flatten the bent part of the capturing washer 4. Unscrew the arbor nut, remove the washer5. Then you will be able to see if you have the extended race bearing or a standard race bearing. If replacing the arbor bearings seems like too daunting of a task for you, we offer an arbor build service.
