Description: This set includes a rare advertising herald (flyer) as well as a separate handbill promoting the Original West End production of the DAVID GREIG, MARC SHAIMAN and SCOTT WITTMAN musical "CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY" at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London. (The London production opened on June 25th, 2013 and closed January 7th, 2017 after three and a half years and 1293 performances. The Broadway production would open April 23rd, 2017 at New York's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and close January 14th, 2018 after 305 performances.) ..... Based on the 1964 children's book by ROALD DAHL, the musical starred DOUGLAS HODGE as "Willy Wonka" (currently being played by ALEX JENNINGS) and JACK COSTELLO, TOM KLENERMAN, ISAAC ROUSE and LOUIS SUC alternated in the role of "Charlie Bucket". The single page, one-sided flyer measures 8 1/4" X 5 7/8" inches and has the show's logo on the front with instructions for tweeting a five-word review of the musical. The backside is blank ..... CONDITION: This rare set is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. These items will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
