On New Year's Eve, December 31st, 1972, Roberto Clemente chartered a plane for a humanitarian mission to earthquake-striken Nicaragua. Even though Clemente had some concerns about the plane's safety, he flew. Clemente's flight crashed into the Atlantic Ocean shortly after takeoff killing him and all four crew members. Today, Clemente is recognized as one of the few baseball immortals to ever live.The autograph includes an official PSA/DNA hologram and QR Code card for authenticity purposes.
