About "An Enemy of the People" In "An Enemy of the People," a man dares to expose an unpalatable truth publicly and is punished for it. The play stars Jeremy Strong as Dr. Thomas Stockmann and Michael Imperioli ("Sopranos," "White Lotus") as his brother, Mayor Peter Stockmann. The plot concerns Dr. Stockmann, a medical officer charged with inspecting the public bath who has found that the water to be contaminated and possibly deadly. The town's entire future depends on the success of the baths. The doctor refuses to be silenced by his brother and townspeople who feel their financial interests would be ruined if the news became public. As a result, Dr. Stockmann is declared "an enemy of the people." The windowcard/poster and Playbill were signed on 27 March 2024 by Jeremy Strong, Michael Imperioli, Caleb Eberhardt, Matthew August Jeffers, David Patrick Kelly, and Alan Trong.
