Description: For sale is a 7 1/4" hand decorated bowl by Talavera artist Pedro Tecayehuatl featuring an abstract blue on white floral motif. The exterior is white while the interior has a repetitive band of dots and dashes surrounding the center well The distinct Talavera style combines the natural designs and bright colors of Mexico with Spanish majolica pottery of Colonial Period. Bottom rim is pierced with hole for hanging (photographs 7 & 8). This bowl is in very good condition with a small chip on the bottom rim (photograph 12) and several nearby fleabites (photograph 12). There are some minor production flaws including small glaze skip on reverse. The bowl is signed on the bottom for Talavera Tecayehuatl. Made in Mexico. Approximate Measurements7 1/4" diameter, top 3 1/2" diameter, base 2 1/4" high
