She set the whole thing up for him to play with at her home, and then he wanted nothing to do with trains. It was literally set up, not played with, and all pieces were put back in their boxes. This is one of the pieces. So, it is New Open Box. Includes pamphlet or card inside that was never removed. At time of original posting I have almost the entire 2001 set including trains and stations, tracks, etc...even vhs tapes.
