Since it's inception, the battalion has distinguished itself in virtually all of the Division's deployments and major training exercises. Among them, humanitarian relief in support of Hurricane Andrew Relief operations, Operations Restore and Continue Hope in Somalia, and most recently the first full battalion deployment to Haiti in support of Operation Uphold Democracy. On 30 November 1995, the Battalion activated a fifth company to the current structure. Delta Company, a general support company, was added to the roster of the Battalion's already strong and steadfast roll call.
