Description: This is a vintage souvenir from the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge, which opened for vehicle traffic, May 1937 (25 cent toll) Included in this set is a piece of California Redwood which was used in the catwalk, during the construction process + brochure dated 1937+ original mailer (5 cents postage). The redwood souvenir is in great vintage condition with signs of use from the construction of the bridge and paint splatter (official color of bridge - International Orange). The brochure has tattering at the top and bottom edges; The mailer has some slight tears at the flaps.
