Description: Vintage-Look Hand Crocheted Personalized Stockings I'd love to create an heirloom stocking for a family member, friend or a pet. Each stocking is handmade using your choice of color combinations and the name is stitched on each side of the cuff....so you can hang it in either direction. Use standard holiday colors of red and green or how about colors for a favorite sports team or school. Have a friend who's a member of the Red Hat Society? A red and purple stocking is just what they need. The combinations are endless. The stocking is approximately 18" long and 8" wide, but the length and width may vary a bit based on the yarn used. So far I haven't met a name that's been too long to fit on both sides, but if this happens I'll be in touch to discuss the placement of the name. Oh, and to hear whether someone is trying to sneak the goodies out of the stocking there are jingle bells tied to the ribbon that is woven in the cuff. I realized that pets deserve to have Christmas stockings too, so I found a nice crochet pattern....and the rest is history.
