Description: Up for sale is a nice vintage Sargent No. 418 fore plane. Equivalent to the Stanley No. 6. Features the brass badge Sargent trademark on the lever cap. The brass badged planes were manufactured in limited quantities throughout the 1920s and 1930s. It's in great condition. The sole is smooth except for a small patch of pitting along the edge (see photo #12). It's smaller than a dime and will lap out with some elbow grease. The japanning is about 80% intact, with some patches missing here & there. The photos are a critical part of the item description. Please review them carefully.
