Description: Offered for sale is this nice antique set of brass oar locks and mounting brackets with chains for a guide boat, canoe or row boat. The oar locks and the mounts are brass. They have their original untouched greenish tarnish patina and there is some old worn down black paint on the mounts. The chains are not the same style. The smaller style chain is brass and most likely original. The larger style chain must have been replaced at some point in time, long ago. The size of these can be seen in the photos. These were found in the Adirondacks near Essex, NY on Lake Champlain These are a sweet old pair of oar locks that would be a nice addition to any old guide boat or small row boat or canoe, either in original condition or under restoration.
